in the 9th Annual Community Awards Program which will take place
from Thursday, February 1, 2018 to Saturday, March 31, 2018;
winners will be announced in May, 2018.

Here is another way to make your donation make a difference! Voting in the Ion Bank Foundation Community Award Program allows Ion Bank customers to vote for their favorite charity. You must be an Ion Bank customer to vote. One vote per customer. Ion Bank foundation is the lead sponsor with Give Local! Since 1938, The Waterbury Symphony Orchestra has presented artistic performances of significant music to the to the residents of Waterbury and the surrounding communities. The WSO is made up of professional musicians, and music educators dedicated to the core principal of creating community. The WSO is Orchestra-in-Residence Naugatuck Valley Community College and performs its concert series at the Fine Arts Center.

Our organization plays a critical role in enhancing the quality of life for area residents by providing great symphonic music, which is an essential element of a vibrant community. While the WSO has successfully undertaken a unique and ambitious plan to grow audiences with innovative programs, our ticket sales cover only about one quarter of our operating expenses.
