Waterbury Symphony League Activities

The Waterbury Symphony Orchestra Volunteer League has been very active over the past couple of months. On last Friday, November 2nd, the league hosted its first fundraiser for the symphony, A Symphony of Tastes, which was a huge success. There were over 150 people present at the wine-tasting, all having a great time and helping to support the Waterbury Symphony Orchestra.

The league also kicked off a second fundraiser as well, selling Koeze Nuts for the Holidays. The league has canisters of cashews (seen in the picture), mixed nuts and even chocolates for you to purchase for those hard-to-buy-for friends and relatives. If you would like information about purchasing nuts, you can call Marion Russo at 203-573-9528 or call the Waterbury Symphony Orchestra Office: 203-574-4283 and we can send you a brochure.

The League will also be at the November 18th concert taking orders in the lobby.

The League provides assistance to the organization through fundraising, office assistance, ushering at concerts, and hospitality to our musicians and guest artists. If you are interested in joining the league, we encourage you to come to one of our monthly membership meetings. The meetings last about an hour, with socializing and snack before and afterwards. The next meeting is on Tuesday, November 13, at 2:00 PM. The meeting is sure to be entertaining, and provide you with some insights into how you can become involved in the league – so feel free to join us! Call the WSO Office if you would like more information on coming to this meeting or joining the league, or click here for more information found on our website!
