Meet a Musician/Meet the Maestro

WSO musicians, guest artists, and maestro Leif Bjaland visit classrooms to demonstrate their instrument(s), provide brief background information on the history of their instrument, and explain what role their instrument plays in the complete orchestra.

Goals:

• Prepare students in grades 3-8 to attend the Young People's Concert (YPC) and gain maximum impact.
• Teach students the fundamentals of non-verbal communication and show relevance.

• Breakdown the barriers between performers and audience members
