The Waterbury Symphony Orchestra's Thomas C. Clark Young Artist Competition is an annual concerto competition that celebrates and supports the next generation of exceptional classical musicians. Open to outstanding instrumentalists ages 18–26 from across the United States, the competition awards a cash prize and the prestigious opportunity to perform as a soloist with the Waterbury Symphony Orchestra. Established to foster emerging talent, the competition has become a distinguished platform for launching young artists' professional careers.

Carl Nielsen's Flute Concerto is one of the 20th century's most beloved works for flute, celebrated for its wit, charm, and expressive lyricism. antonin dvorak: symphony no. 8
Antonín Dvořák's Symphony No. 8 is a joyful celebration of nature, melody, and Bohemian spirit.
