2020 Educational Video Series

The Waterbury Symphony Orchestra has launched a new educational video series presented in partnership with Waterbury Public Schools. The Symphony is deploying musicians and resources to help families and students who are now learning from home, by pivoting to provide online music education content for distance learning.  The video series will focus on French composer Camille Saint-Saëns’ celebrated Le carnival des animaux (The Carnival of the Animals), a musical suite in fourteen movements.  Full of humor and fun, each movement uses instruments to depict an animal.

Targeted for students of all ages, the series takes a multi-disciplinary approach to learning, so each video includes several study areas like music, history and literature. These videos are appropriate for students of all ages.
